Initially built as a drag car, this as one-off custom-built Corvette has been reimagined into a multiple-Best-of-Show winner. The build was completed in 2009 and was later featured in the November 2009 issue of Hot Rod magazine. Power comes from a 468ci Chevrolet big-block V8 engine with a 11.5:1 compression ratio and Wiseco pistons. The V8 features polished air intake tubes and custom valve covers, and routes power through a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and 3500 rpm stall converter. The nodular 9-inch rear still houses Strange 31-spline axles, a Detroit Locker and 4.41 gears. The Corvette rides riding on a fully adjustable air-ride suspension system with a 4-link setup in the rear, with custom control arms and power rack & pinion steering up front. Stopping is provided by a set of power Wilwood disc brakes, and the 'Vette features 20x16 intro billets and 33x22 Mickey Thompson tires. The interior features beautiful red leather with a custom one-off gauge cluster, and the hood is fully electronic and opens from the side.
