No expense was spared on this custom Mustang's build. Known as "Toxic 66," the car has won many awards, including Best Street Machine, Best in Class, Outstanding Interior and Best Body and Paint. It's powered by a 408ci Windsor V8 engine upgraded with Canfield aluminum heads, 871 BDS blower, custom 8-nozzle fuel injection, Hogan lower intake manifold, JE pistons, custom upper intake manifold, custom billet valve covers, custom billet fan shroud and fan, and an Icebox Performance polished radiator. It's also been outfitted with a FAST control system, custom stainless headers and 3-inch oval exhaust. A 4R70W automatic transmission pushes the power through a custom driveshaft to a Chassis Engineering Ford narrowed 9-inch rear end with 31-spline locker. It's also equipped with Moser axles, polished 4-link rear suspension and custom wheelie bars. The chassis is a custom 2x3" box frame construction with a full tub in the rear. The floor height was raised 3 inches to accommodate the box frame construction. It features a hidden full roll cage, HQ Series Shockwave air-ride system, RideTech VIAIR 440E compressor and an Air Lift 3P auto level. A custom set of brakes - including Baer custom 6-piston calipers, 13-inch Corvette rotors in front and 14-inch in the rear - provide stopping power to the custom 18-inch ZE forged rims with Mickey Thompson rear tires. During the build, all trim was removed, the bumpers were built into the body panels, the front fenders were made into one piece with headlights and lower spoiler, and a custom rear valence panel with LED light was molded in. The quarter-panels were rolled to accommodate the tub, side windows were removed and the doors were molded into the A-pillars. The boxed hood with grille opening was built in, and the whole thing was finished in custom Axalta paint. The full pans underneath were painted and polished as well. All exterior modifications were done using metal, not fiberglass. The interior has been modified with a custom-made dashboard with gauges, hidden roll bar, sweeping center console with air-ride controls, leather bolstered seats, custom hidden interior door handles, leather headliner, push-button start with integrated security system and LED lighting throughout. Made of aluminum, all of the interior panels are leather-wrapped and removable.
