This is the first publicly available Ford GT ever offered and is VIN 003. The first GT is in the Ford Museum, and the second is owned by Edsel Ford II. This GT was completed on June 29, 2004, and was originally sold to a Ford executive. It is powered by a 5.4-liter V8 engine with 6-speed manual transmission and is equipped with three of the four factory-available options, including BBS lightweight forged aluminum wheels, painted brake calipers and McIntosh stereo system. Only the painted upper racing stripes were omitted. The dash of Ford GT #003 features Carroll Shelby’s iconic autograph, and the original fitted car cover is included with the sale. This is the lowest-numbered Ford GT ever offered for sale to the public. It has a clean CARFAX history and 5,600 actual miles (title reads mileage exempt). From the Scott Thomas Collection.
