This 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air bubble top Pro-Touring custom known as "Showlow" has 12,000 man-hours invested into the build, with 65 miles since its completion. It took three years to build with 150 body modifications. The signature roof was lowered thanks to a professional-level chop, and the basis for this build was a 1.625-inch tube chassis. The 409 W-head engine was professionally bored and stroked to 482ci and features one-off Algon fuel injection and show-quality chrome, and is mated to a Richmond 6-speed manual transmission and a Currie 4.10-ratio differential. The low-slung completely tubular steel chassis features RideTech air-ride suspension with Morrison spindles and A-arms, as well as a Baer braking system. The set of one-off 19- and 20-inch Colorado Custom wheels with Pirelli radial tires completes the build. Extensive tin work was done on the body, and it sports a Maserati Red and GT White finish paired with a custom leather interior with uniquely faced custom gauges and custom glass work. This vehicle has power windows, power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. The effort in this build has resulted in multiple awards, including a PPG Dream Car Pick, Mothers Shine Bronze Award at SEMA, PPG Dream Car National Award and Top Fine Nine Award. Additional accolades for "Showlow" include features in Hot Rod, Super Chevy, Custom Rodder, American Muscle Cars, Jegs and Goodguys magazines.
