Privacy Policy

Effective Date 18 September, 2019

Introduction

Diversion Media, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the AuctionTalk.com website ("site") to which this privacy policy ("policy") applies. We respect the privacy of our visitors. This policy describes what information we collect when you visit this site, why we collect it, and how it is used. By using our site you consent to our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your personal information as described in this policy. Each time you use our site, the current version of this policy will apply. If you do not agree to this privacy policy then please do not use our site.

Information We Collect

Personally Identifiable Information: The primary information gathered is for registered users of the site. A full name and e-mail address are requested. For the owner verification process, we request driver license and vehicle title information.

Users may visit the site anonymously and without registration. Users can refuse to supply personally identifiable information, though this will prevent them from certain activities on the site.

We may also collect additional personal information from users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when users visit the site, register on the site, subscribe to newsletters, fill out a form, email us, or in connection with other activities, services, or resources available on our site.

If you choose to post content to any of the interactive areas of our site (lot discussions, services wanted/offered, general discussions, etc.) the information you post can be seen, collected and used by anyone who has access to the site. We are not responsible for any third-party use of such information.

We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser. This may include your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you request.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We also collect information about your non-personal interactions with the site. Such information does not identify an individual. It may include items such as a browser name, internet provider, computer type, operating system, or similar non-personal information. We may collect, use, and disclose such information as set forth below.

Analytics Information: We may use third-party tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the site. These tools collect standard information sent by a browser as part of any web page request. This analytics information may include web pages you visit, browser add-ons, browser settings, and other information that assists us in improving the site. Third-party analytics services will not use any information they collect for any directed marketing purposes.

Cookies Information: When you visit the site, we may send one or more cookies to your computer that uniquely identify your browser. This can help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. A cookie may also convey information to us about how you use the site (pages viewed, links used, etc.) and allow us or our partners to track your usage of the site over time.

A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. A persistent cookie can be removed at any time by following your browser's instructions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can configure your web browser to refuse all cookies from any or all sites, or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of the site may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Log File Information: Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. When you use our site, our servers automatically record certain log file information. This may include anonymous information such as your web request, IP address, browser type, entry / exit pages and URLs. It may also include how you interact with links on the site, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.

Clear Gifs / Web Beacons Information: When you use the site, we may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to anonymously track the online usage patterns of our users. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened and which links are clicked by recipients. This information allows for more accurate reporting and improvement of the site.

Device Identifiers: When you access the site using a mobile device (such as a smart phone or tablet), we may access, collect, monitor, and/or remotely store one or more device identifiers, such as a unique device identifier ("UDID"). Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device's operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by us. A device identifier may convey information to us about how you browse and use the site. The device identifier information that we collect does not itself collect or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information to us. However, a device identifier may be used in conjunction with other information in a manner that may constitute Personally Identifiable Information. A device identifier may remain persistently on your mobile device to help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. Some features of the site may not function properly if use or availability of device identifiers is disabled.

Location Data: When you access the site using a mobile device, we may access, collect, monitor, and/or remotely store location data, which may include GPS coordinates or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device. We may also use various technologies to determine location, such as sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers. The location data that we collect does not itself contain or transmit any Personally Identifiable Information. However, location data may be used in conjunction with other information in a manner that may constitute Personally Identifiable Information.

We do not sell, rent, or share your Personally Identifiable Information with these third-party ad servers or ad networks for such parties' own marketing purposes, unless you choose in advance to have your information shared for this purpose. However, if an advertiser asks us to show an ad to a certain audience and you respond to such an ad, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. In addition, third-party advertisers may use Non-Personally Identifiable information (e.g., information that does not include your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements on this and other websites about third-party goods and services that may be of interest to you.
